AI and data-use disclosure · current capabilities and limitations.
What uses AI
Optional custom game and event generation uses OpenAI. The authoring screen identifies AI creation and asks before sending selected knowledge. Review the output before sharing. Private couples cards are authored or manually customized and make no AI-provider calls.
What does not train a model
The app does not fine-tune a model on room answers, couples choices or ratings. Game likes and topic choices shape explicit local rules and recommendations. Computer opponents use game logic; they are labeled AI/computer and are not real people.
Computer crew portraits
Lifelike crew portraits are AI-generated images of fictional adults. They represent built-in computer players, not real participants, video calls or separate conversational models. Choosing a portrait changes appearance and the crew name; difficulty remains a separate control.
Human oversight
Hosts control game setup and reveals. Creator packs use bounded formats rather than arbitrary uploaded code. Community publication requires authorized review; authors cannot approve their own submissions. Lifecycle controls allow pauses and retirement. Feedback is optional and separate from personal preferences.
No hidden inference
These social games do not perform facial recognition, infer sentiment from faces, diagnose relationships, rate intimacy or score employee behavior. Era Shift uses host-prepared images; it does not generate faces. No voice transcription or recording is implemented by the app.
AI governance scope
The operator must classify each deployed AI use, assess applicable regional obligations, review provider contracts and document risk, incident and content-disclosure processes. This disclosure is not an EU AI Act certification. Do not silently reuse personal knowledge or private answers for a new purpose.
